We've made changes to our Internet service. We want to make sure,
in this time of change, you continue to receive the great
service you expect from Baca Valley Telephone and Sierra Communications.
Please let us know if you experience busy signals while trying to log on
to our service. We closely monitor our service for busy lines and your input
is greatly appreciated. We know your life is busy… your Internet
connection shouldn’t be!

We offer our customers an enhanced web-based email program. This is a great program for checking your mail while you are traveling or away from your personal computer. Regardless of your location, if you have Internet access, you have access to your bacavalley.com email account.
-
You have access to an address book.
- It is easy to send attachments.
- Messages in your mailbox are easy to manage.
- When it is necessary to delete a message because of size or other corruption issues, you will be able to delete this message from our web site instead of using an outside pop3 mailserver (i.e. mailstart.com).
Remember, once a message is downloaded using an email program such as Outlook Express, it will no longer be available for viewing on our web page.
When a message is deleted while using our web-based email it will not load in
any other email program. Messages will continue to be held on the server for 30 days.
-
A note about our 20 Hour Blocked plan – If you have chosen this
plan, Internet access will be blocked at 20 hours. Once you have reached
your plan limit, you may receive an error message when you attempt to login. Your plan will
be set back to zero on the first day of the following month at 12:01 a.m. If you
would like to increase your plan to the Unmeasured service please call our
office during regular business hours.

MODEM ISSUES - We have determined that some modems that are having trouble
connecting and maintaining a connection with our server are 56k modems
that utilize a Lucent Technologies chipset. This includes LT Win
Modems, PCI's, Compaq Presario's, etc. This is not an all inclusive list
and other 56k modems may experience difficulties if they are not V.90
compatible. These connection difficulties are resolved by an update to your
modem drivers. Contact your modem manufacturer to see if upgrades are
available for your modem.
