Our new Web Mail program brings you expanded options and enhanced features. On this page we've answered some basic questions concerning this program. You may also find additional help by clicking the blue circled question marks on your Web Mail screens.
Q: Does it takes longer to load the new Web Mail on my computer?
Because of additional features and enhanced services the new Web Mail will take longer to load. If you prefer to use the previous version of Web Mail click on this link: previous version. You can then create a shortcut to this earlier version for easier access.
Q: I have a shortcut on my desktop to Baca Valley Web Mail but it keeps taking me to the previous version.
You will need to delete the shortcut and create a new one.
Q: What is Quarantine?
In order to minimize the amount of spam our customers receive it
is necessary to set filters that may, at times, stop valid email messages. The Quarantine folder holds messages that were flagged as
possible spam, messages with attachments that may contain harmful content, or
viruses. You may now view the messages and decide how they should be handled.
Messages will be held in the Quarantine folder for 5 days before they are
automatically deleted.
Q: Can I import/export my address book from another email program?
Yes but the file must be saved in a .CSV (Comma Separated Values) format.
Q: What is Auto-Reply?
This feature enables you to automatically send a reply to incoming email messages. You can customize the various options in this feature but we strongly recommend you select "Reply only once to each sender."
Q: I've set up an external account. How do I view the folders and messages in this account?
To view external accounts click on the account name in the highlighted box located on the left hand side of your screen under the My Mail icon. You should then see a drop down menu listing all accounts.
Q: How do I create a new folder?
Select the Settings option from the menu bar. Choose Folders and External Accounts. Highlight the email account where you wish to add the new folder. Type the name of the folder in the text box located next to the New Folder button and then click on the New Folder button. Click on the plus sign in front of your email account to expand the folder list. Your new folder should now be listed.
